Birthday Cake Protein Shake

Birthday Cake Protein Shake

I saw on Pinterest a great birthday cake protein shake and tweaked it a tad for myself. I thought I would share here for my readers. Many of you are always looking for DELICIOUS options to keep you out of ice cream and junk food. This shake is a TREAT you will not want to miss.

Birthday Cake Protein Shake

3/4 cup of water
10-12 ice cubes
3/4 scoop of Beachbody vanilla whey powder
1/2 cup of lowfat cottage cheese
1 tbsp of vanilla
2 small handfuls of kale
3 packets of truvia (I like it sweet)

Put all ingredients in vitamix but you can use any kind of blender. Blend until smooth. You now have a birthday cake protein shake! You can skip the kale if you want but I could barely taste it and what a great way to sneak in a vegetable.

Post Workout Birthday Cake Protein Shake

I try to drink my Shakeology each day either in the afternoon or before bed and the birthday cake protein shake is my post-workout. You can do Shakeology post-workout but this gives me another delicious option each day.

When you workout it’s a good time to put solid protein on those worked muscles. I often will pair either shake with an apple or sweet potato because I like to SAVOR my carbs! So many of you workout hard and then STARVE trying to save calories. Don’t do it. The most important window of the day for food is around those workouts: strength, long endurance cardio, or short-highly intense training.

Shakeology is #1 treat and so thick I eat with a spoon!

The vanilla protein powder I use is from Beachbody and is very tasty. I highly recommend it. If you want me as your coach on Beachbody, sign up for your free account. 1. Hi corinne,
what amazing tips you have! Great compliments from far apart Germany! :-)

So what I am very curious about is – what exactly is “truvia”. I can find no translation about that.

    Could you help me, please?

Thanks a lot and warm regards

    • Truvia is a commercial version of Stevia here in the states. It takes the after-taste out of Stevia. You could use Splenda or just add a few calories and use sugar if you prefer, to.

My mom’s name is Anna! Small world.
