I saw on Pinterest a great birthday cake protein shake and tweaked it a tad for myself. I thought I would share here for my readers. Many of you are always looking for DELICIOUS options to keep you out of ice cream and junk food. This shake is a TREAT you will not want to miss.
Birthday Cake Protein Shake
3/4 cup of water
10-12 ice cubes
3/4 scoop of Beachbody vanilla whey powder
1/2 cup of lowfat cottage cheese
1 tbsp of vanilla
2 small handfuls of kale
3 packets of truvia (I like it sweet)
I try to drink my Shakeology each day either in the afternoon or before bed and the birthday cake protein shake is my post-workout. You can do Shakeology post-workout but this gives me another delicious option each day.
When you workout it’s a good time to put solid protein on those worked muscles. I often will pair either shake with an apple or sweet potato because I like to SAVOR my carbs! So many of you workout hard and then STARVE trying to save calories. Don’t do it. The most important window of the day for food is around those workouts: strength, long endurance cardio, or short-highly intense training.
