Legs in the Morning and Cardio in the Evening

I haven’t done this in awhile, but I split my routine today because I woke up at the crack of dawn and couldn’t go back to sleep. All I had time to do was knock one or the other out and since my weights routines are so intense I decided I should do it first and cardio later. The leg workout was even rougher than last week. Each week my workouts are really amping up and it is definitely showing. If it weren’t for the pictures my husband took and the measurements I would think I was seeing things.

Tomorrow I am going back to Weight Watcher meetings, by the way. I lost all of my weight online and joined when I had five pounds left to lose. Well, my area will not acknowledge that for me to become a leader so I am having to lose five more pounds to qualify. Like they say, you can’t hold a good woman down! So, I’ll be at a weekly meeting for the next few weeks until I can bust off some weight and hopefully be eligible to become a leader. :)

Today’s workouts: Legs

Superset One: 4 sets
60 seconds jump rope
50 Toe Taps on Step Bench Fast
20 Pop Squats

Superset Two: 3 sets
15 step ups on weight bench each leg
15 DB squats
15 Stiff legged deadlifts with barbell

Superset Three: 3 sets
20 Standing Dips (Owww!)
10 Squat Crushers
20 Bench side to side shuffles

Superset Four: 3 sets
20 Pop squats
25 weighted calf raises

Cardio: This was a ridiculous treadmill routine!!! If you ever want to be the crazy girl in the gym, bust out this treadmill routine and people will think you have lost your mind or in fabulous shape.

Set treadmill to moderate hill program
5 min. warm-up of progressively faster walking
1 min. sprint
1 min. jog
1 min. side shuffle (fast)
1 min. other side shuffle (fast)
1 min. backward walk
1 min. sprint
Repeat until you get to 27 minutes (remember you are sprinting hills in this)
From minutes 27-29…slow the treadmill down to 1.0-1.5 and do bear crawls (definition in blog) until your hammies are on fire.
Cool down for 5 minutes.
