I was broke-ass poor growing up. Momma worked minimum wage jobs, trying her best to keep my baby brother and I fed.

Those days were when I learned a lot of my eating habits. Things like:

“Eat all you can because who knows when the next meal is coming…”

“Fast food is not only cheap, but it’s a good way to get a lot of food after a long, hard day.”

But those days also taught me something else. A lot of people can’t afford to lose weight. They don’t have the money for programs, kits, and trainers.

My mother tried many diets and often quit because she didn’t have the money.

I wish she had someone like me pumping out help. Knowing my mom, and how scrappy she was, she’d be all over my podcast and free course like stink on shit.

Today’s podcast is all about making the most out of all the free resources I offer. Maybe you’ll join No BS one day because you love what I teach so much. But, you might be someone who can never join and need all the help you can get.

Either way, today I’m going to lay out exactly how I would use the Losing 100lbs Podcast and the Free Course to lose all the weight you want.

First, take the Free Course. I know you’ve done that already because you got this email. Just in case you want to share it with a friend, the link to the course is: www.NoBSFreeCourse.com.

Second, make the podcast your weightloss university. In the podcast, we’ll tell you what to do and give you some episodes to listen to that help with food planning, getting support from your family, mistakes most of us make (and how to avoid them) and how to quit overeating.

Third, follow me on social. I post a lot of motivational stuff you don’t want to miss.

You can follow me at:

https://www.instagram.com/corinne_crabtree

https://www.facebook.com/losing100podcast

Last, always read my emails. I send two a week, and each one will link you to new resources or give you a little kick in the ass. You’ll want to move them to your SAFE SENDER (because email service providers can be asshats sending my good shit to the spam).

Corinne:

Hi, I’m Corinne. After a lifetime of obesity, being bullied for being the fattest kid in the class, and losing and gaining weight like it was my job, I finally got my shit together and I lost 100 pounds. Each week I’ll teach you no bullshit weight loss advice you can use to overcome your battle with weight. I keep it simple. You’ll learn how to quit eating and thinking like an asshole. You stop that and weight loss becomes easy. My goal is to help you lose weight the way you want to live your life. If you are ready to figure out weight loss, then let’s go.

Corinne:

Hello, everybody. Welcome back. So today we are going to be talking all about how to use the free shit. So if you have been around or maybe you’re newer to the podcast or maybe you’ve been around for a little bit, let me just tell you how things work here at No BS. We have two big openings a year where we invite every person that listens to the podcast or has taken our free course to join our membership. So we’ll be open for a little bit of time and we get an amazing group of women that join. And we just recently did one in March where we had, I believe over 2,100 women join who are ready to kick ass and take some weight loss names.

Corinne:

And so throughout the rest of the year, though, if you want to join No BS, there’s only one way to do it. You have to take our free course and once you take the free course, you have a small window of time where you can join, and I take you through how to lose weight, I teach you everything that I can think of that you need to know. And then I talk to you about being a No BS woman. What is that all about? What does the membership include? What’s in the course? All that good stuff. If you want to join us immediately, you can, or if you want to hang out in the podcast, like try us on, see if you’re really going to like Corinne yelling and cussing all the time. If you need to get-

Kathy Hartman:

Wait, you yell and cuss? What?

Corinne:

Well, only all the time. The only time I’m probably not yelling and cussing is in my sleep.

Kathy Hartman:

I bet you… Look, I have spent a night with you. There’s some of that too.

Corinne:

Yeah. If I get a righteous dream going, I’m sure I can strike one up there too. Well, let me just say first, if you want to join at the end of that with the free course, you can join and if not, you can hang out on the podcast and today’s podcast is going to be about the best way to use our podcast and to use our free resources in order to lose weight while you wait for us. But I would like say this about Kathy Hartman now that she’s tried to throw me under the bus on sleeping together.

Kathy Hartman:

Are you going to tell all the secrets?

Corinne:

Well, two of them. Number one, Kathy likes to sleep face down in her pillow and not breathe.

Kathy Hartman:

I knew this was coming. I was talking about this with Greg and Grace the other night. And Greg says, Grace does the same thing.

Corinne:

Oh my gosh. So Kathy and I have had the pleasure of traveling together many times over our friendship. And-

Kathy Hartman:

Worst time I ever shared a bed with somebody other than my husband was you-

Corinne:

I know.

Kathy Hartman:

… in Canada.

Corinne:

And I was telling her, “I was like, you need to get over that. When we all travel on a girls’ trip, we share beds.” I’ve been sleeping over with people since I was a kid. And even as an adult, I was still sleeping over but it’s very unnerving. We have slept together so many now in a king size bed or shared a room and had doubles and I roll over and look at her and think, how does she not die in her sleep? The second thing about Kathy Hartman is she’s also very sweet on the podcast and sounds like your fairy godmother reading-

Kathy Hartman:

Angelic.

Corinne:

… you bed time story. Yes, angelic. Except when she sleeps, she turns into an MMA fighter where she slaps you in the face. She does the most violent of moves. The only time I’ve ever slept with someone other than Logan, where I had been slapped so hard in the face that I woke up was like, “Hey.” So that is my side-

Kathy Hartman:

I can’t help it. I’m sorry.

Corinne:

Well, I just think it’s funny because your sleeping personality is so different from your regular personality.

Kathy Hartman:

I mean, the stuff I [inaudible 00:04:37] myself or someone else, huh?

Corinne:

Exactly. Basically. That’s basically how it goes down.

Kathy Hartman:

Oh, well.

Corinne:

All right. Well, let’s talk about this fun little podcast that we have here. I spent some time this morning trying to figure out what is the best way to educate all of our listeners who are here on your best steps. So one of the reasons why I offer so many free resources, I definitely want to make sure we include this part is I grew up really poor. And I think about my mom and all the years that she struggled with her weight and she just couldn’t afford to half the time even join a Weight Watchers. I mean, we would join Weight Watchers when she had a few extra dollars in her bank account. And of course that’s where it would go to is to the Weight Watchers. And then she and I would join but she just, most of the time, I mean, I can think of several times we probably quit Weight Watchers because she just couldn’t afford to even go.

Corinne:

And I would’ve given anything if back in the day that there was a way for women to get free resources like my mom. So while I want everybody to be a No BS woman and yes, we have amazing content, we have way deeper dives, we have structure, we have just all the things you need, I know some of you may never have the pleasure or the ability to even join, but you have time and time is the price that you’ll pay which means you will need to look for podcasts to listen to that address your needs and do things like. So what we wanted to do today was to give you an outline of how to best use our free resources so that whether you are waiting to join No BS or you are never going to be able to work with us, that you have that ability and capability.

Corinne:

So the very first thing it is, step one, which is please make sure you have taken the free course. It’s four videos and they will explain the four basics and give you the basis of making sure you can lose weight with common sense. No more crazy dieting, no more counting calories, no more cutting out foods you love. I really address in that free course what to do to lose weight in an easier way. And then I also address a little bit in that free course about just letting go of bullshit diet mentality. So if you really are interested in like, I’m so sick and tired of dieting, I fail all the time, I can’t do another deprivation restriction cycle again, I’m tired of giving up my favorite foods and I’m tired of every time I try to lose weight, it becomes a second job, then do the free course first. You can take it at nobsfreecourse.com. What will happen is you’ll give us your email, we will send you the video, the very first one, you will watch it. You will also get an ebook that has a doable plan sample on it.

Corinne:

So a lot of you hear that the No BS women have their own custom planner with journaling prompts and it’s their guided tour for weight loss. I give you inside the workbook, a smaller, lighter version of that so that you have something that addresses not only what you’re going to plan to eat for the day, but it also addresses a little bit of positive mindset from you. Like how do I think a little bit better about myself rather than going into each day thinking I probably can’t do this. I give you a few journal prompts on figuring out what you can do for yourself each day.

Corinne:

So I just think the free course is, I mean, it’s so good that other companies probably make you pay for shit like that to lose weight. That’s their beginner course. This is what I just give people because I think that you need this and it will help you figure out really quick, how to let go of a lot of bullshit and it will help you figure out if I’m your girl, I know I’m not for everybody. Kathy and I, no we’ve been doing this pot cast for a long time. There’s plenty of people out there that don’t like what Kathy and I have to offer, don’t like what No BS stands for, they don’t want all this stuff. They don’t want the cussing, they don’t want the real talk, they don’t want the crying, they don’t want to get in touch with themselves and figure out how to think better. They just want to be told what to eat.

Corinne:

So when you take the free course, it’s also just good for you to figure out, is this the kind of program that fits me? Because I think one of the things that diet industry doesn’t do enough is understanding that not every program is right for every person. My program is not right for every person either. But what I really do believe is that in the weight loss industry, we got to do a better job of helping you all figure out is this the way I want to live the rest of my life? Does this make sense for me? And then giving you that agency to be able to make your decisions, the diet industry is just not really good at that. And so take the free course first. That’s always step one. Anything you want to add about the free course?

Kathy Hartman:

I do. I want to say this really quick. As you listen to the free course and you listen to Corinne, I want you to just step back and think about the concepts that she’s teaching. And here’s why. When I met Corinne, she was a lot like she is now, okay? But I’m not. She and I are very different people. Would you call me a holy roller? Maybe? I don’t know.

Corinne:

Compared to me…

Kathy Hartman:

[crosstalk 00:10:57] time, I don’t [crosstalk 00:10:59].

Corinne:

Definitely a holy roller next to Corinne.

Kathy Hartman:

Yeah, every now and then I’ll cuss, but I’m not as prolific with my vocabulary as Corinne is. But I didn’t use that part to decide whether or not this was the program for me. What I listened to was the messaging and what she was teaching and how much sense it made. Your vocabulary… I don’t want to talk like you’re not here. Your vocabulary is up to you. I get to filter that if I want to. I mean, it’s your words. I get to make them mean what I want to make them mean to what I’m listening to is what you are teaching, not the words you used to teach it. Does that make sense?

Corinne:

No it makes sense.

Kathy Hartman:

I wanted to pull that apart just a little bit because this program is so good that someone as lay back or calm or conservative as I am still gets a huge amount of benefit out of it. And there’s others in the membership just like me.

Corinne:

Yeah. We actually have inside of our membership, quite a few pastors’ wives.

Kathy Hartman:

Yes.

Corinne:

We have some pastors.

Kathy Hartman:

We have pastor’s wife on the team.

Corinne:

Yeah. And we have pastors inside the membership, but this is the thing that I do want to say about the cussing and stuff because trusts me you all, I get a ton of feedback. I get a ton of people who complain about it, but I get way more people who resonate with it than I ever get complain about it. But I understand it is not for everyone. So if you’re listening this podcast and cussing is not your thing, there’s no shame in turning me off. There’s no shame in finding someone else. I don’t get hurt when people don’t like my mouth. I’ve got one living grandmother left. She never cusses. She is as conservative with her mouth as it can come. And she tells me straight up, she doesn’t listen to my podcast because I cuss and she don’t understand… she’ll tell me, I don’t understand why you got to do this. Nobody gets more… but I don’t get more pushback than I get from Betty Lou about my mouth. But if my own damn grandmother isn’t going to change it, nobody else is.

Corinne:

So I say this because the one thing I don’t want to do is someone to not be able to lose weight because they’re sitting around so upset with how I talk. I would much rather you just go and find someone. And honestly, if you are listening to this podcast and you hate cussing and it just strikes your nerve, I know other weight loss coaches who teach similarly to me. They’re not as in your face but they also don’t cuss. You can always to email us at support@PMP.tribe.com. I will give you other podcasts to listen to. My main goal is that everybody can lose their weight. And I want them to lose weight in a way that is not like… My biggest thing is I just don’t want anybody else doing bullshit diets. That’s my main any concern. And if that means you come along with me for the ride or you need me to tell you a ride to go get. Get me an Uber, Corinne. I don’t want on your ride. I will do that.

Corinne:

We have a list of people that we recommend, so you can always email us and we are happy to give you a resource if I am not your cup of tea. So I mean, I appreciate you saying that but its one of those things where for a long time, I’ve really had to decide where I was going to be with my cousin and I have cousins since I was a kid. That is just how we rolled in my family. Not on my daddy’s side, on my mama’s side. My grandfather was a Marine, my grandmother worked in a car dealership her entire life. She was around mechanics and salesman and so she cussed just like the rest of them. And my mama’s a cusser, I am a cusser, and it’s too difficult for me to try to not be my… the hardest job ever is to not be yourself. And I got too many people that I want to change their life to be spending every single day trying to figure out how to change me. I want to figure out how to change them so that’s why [crosstalk 00:15:32].

Kathy Hartman:

The beautiful thing about you is yeah, she does cuss and she does cry, but it’s all authentic Corinne. Corinne doesn’t put on a different hat when she gets on the podcast or in the free course and be somebody she’s not.

Corinne:

No. One thing you can always trust you all whether you like my mouth or not is you going to get my honest opinion.

Kathy Hartman:

And you’re going to get honest Corinne. Some days she’s going to show up in a headband fresh off a workout and some days she’s going to show up dolled up, but it’s going to be honest Corinne in how she wants to show up that day.

Corinne:

Yeah. I’m sure Kathy sometimes wishes that I would learn how to filter my mouth a little bit.

Kathy Hartman:

Only when it’s directed at me.

Corinne:

Every now and then Corinne, could you just pause?

Kathy Hartman:

Yeah. Let’s breathe for a minute Corinne. Let’s just breathe.

Corinne:

Oh my gosh. Poor Chris. I’m the same with him. All right. So step two. So you’re going to do the free course. That’s always step one. Make sure you’ve taken that because a lot of you all come into the podcast and you’re listening and you’re like, this sounds great but it doesn’t make sense. And that’s because in the podcast, we don’t do it in order. We just, every week, where… I don’t know where we’re at. 261 of just our-

Kathy Hartman:

Can you believe it?

Corinne:

That’s just the Kathy and Corinne episodes.

Kathy Hartman:

I know.

Corinne:

There’s even more podcasts because we have Facebook lives we put in there, we have bonus episodes and things like that. So we’re in the 300s now. So those are not in any order. Those are in the order of like what’s happening in the world and what Kathy and I are hearing from everybody, what we must want to teach now. So when you take the free course, you get that order. So then you go on to step two, which is schedule time to listen to the podcast. I’m a big believer in anything that gets done, needs to be written down when you’re going to do it. So our podcast comes out every single Friday morning. So if you want to listen to it on the day it drops, you will listen to it on Friday. Or if you have a different time during the week that it makes sense for you to listen, maybe you go for a long walk on Saturdays. A lot of our members walk with me. I can’t even believe how many people tell me, I take you on my walks.

Corinne:

So schedule to listen during that time. I just want you to make a decision ahead of time to when you’re going to listen, like you’re making a weight loss appointment with yourself versus just trying to catch it when you have time. Otherwise, you end up forgetting about it, so schedule time. And then the best way to use the podcast is to make sure that you subscribe to it. A lot of times people will listen to a couple of episodes, they don’t subscribe. And then what ends up happening is they forget about it. And then one day they remember me and they’re trying to find it, but they don’t quite remember the name. So if you’re listening to this podcast right now, this is a great opportunity to go on your phone and to make sure that you subscribe to the podcast.

Corinne:

The second thing to do, and I think this is a great hack, which is either set it to always download our podcasts so that they’re always on your phone no matter where you’re at, you don’t have to worry about if you don’t have wifi. I can’t tell you how many times I go on an airplane and fricking forget to download podcasts that I want to listen to and I get it up in the plane and I’m just like, I’m going to be here for like three hours. It’s going to be my self development workshop time. And I didn’t download the damn things that I wanted to listen to. And then I get mad. If you think you’re going to want to listen to everything, then just download.

Corinne:

But if you’re not, I know lot of people don’t want to download everything, then what I would do is download your favorite episodes so that you can re-listen to them when you want to, especially episodes that address something that’s stall in your weight loss. So if maybe you’re an overeater or maybe you worry, there are certain podcasts that we have that people download and listen to over and over again, so that they’re working on a specific problem to solve. So just make sure you’re downloading either all of them so that you always have them or at least your favorites so that you have a curated library of specific things that mean a lot to you.

Corinne:

The third way to utilize the podcast that is very powerful in your learning is to make sure you share what you learn. So in your brain, it takes knowledge and it puts it more into like an accessible form for you when you’ve done one of two things. You have shared what you’ve learned either on social, so you would screenshot an episode, you would share it on your social and in the description or in your post, you write why this mattered, what you learned and what you would want somebody else to hear. And then make sure you tag us, me and Kathy, if you share it on your social. Or the other thing that you can do is take your episodes, find your weight loss buddy, all women that I know always have this one check at least that they chat about weight loss. It may sound like a bitch and moan session, but you got somebody you talk to about weight loss and about your body and about food and all that stuff.

Corinne:

When you listen to a podcast, call them. Talk about it. Maybe get them to listen to it and the two of you talk about it. When you do that, your brain is synthesizing the information. So when you hear it, you’re going to hear so much and you’re going to get like… I can’t tell you how many times I like listening to a podcast and I’m like, oh yeah, I’m going to remember that. Ooh, that was wisdom. It’s like, oh, that makes so much sense. And I’m out running and I can’t can’t take notes. I get home, I don’t remember dick. I mean, I barely remember what I heard. I remember there was something said that I was wowed at, and then I get home and I’m like, oh, I’m going to have to listen to that again. I know there was something real good in there, I just can’t remember what it is. When you share it and type it and talk it, guess what happens? It locks into your brain.

Corinne:

A lot of times, this is what I do for my members. They get surprised lives for me. They get little mini lessons all the time because I’ll hear something and I’m like, okay, this was really good. This is going to be really helpful for my members, and I’m going to teach it to them because I want to know it better and I want them to hear it the way I know it’s going to apply to weight loss. So reteaching, whether you do it on your social or whether you do it with another human helps you. Anything you want to add on that one?

Kathy Hartman:

Yeah, we did a podcast some time ago about different types of learners and this really keys into that. When you engage another sense, I mean your five senses, if you’re listening, if you repeat it, your brain hears it a second time. Not only do you speak it because you’re understanding it and you’re synthesizing it, your brain hears it that second time. Same thing with when you’re writing, your eyes see you writing it and you’ve repeated it in your head again. It’s super impactful. I do that often. When I’m trying to learn something, I will read it to myself out loud in order to really solidify it in my brain. Makes a lot of sense.

Corinne:

And this also applies to our No BS women. So a lot of our members listen to this podcast. You don’t need the free course anymore. You’ve got the No BS weight loss course. So your step one is always go back to the foundational course. We tell our No BS women I know we got tons and tons of different little courses that you can take but once or twice a year, at least go back through the No BS weight loss course and hear it with your fresh ears. Just like for all of our free people, once you’ve taken the free course, go back and listen to those videos again every now and then, get a refresher. You’ll hear it with new ears. For the No BS women who are members, you have your private member podcast. Download the coaching calls that you love the most so that you can listen to them wherever you’re at.

Corinne:

And then for you all, we put you with accountability partners. We give you accountability groups. You can do either listen to a coaching call or listen to a lesson, share it with your group, give them your insights and ahas and then they’re sharing their insights and ahas and everybody’s learning a big ass [inaudible 00:24:38] by you all. Well, the other thing is sometimes screenshot one of the private member podcasts coaching that you’re listening to, share it in our private member Facebook group and say, I listened to this one, it was gold and here’s why, and here’s what I’m going to do from it. And then you’ll inspire other people to listen to it and share their insights or your gold nugget will be the gold nugget somebody else needs to hear. And so when you’re doing that, you’re getting more of the power of the community working for you. So that’s step two.

Corinne:

Step three is to follow me on social. So this is not just so Corinne has extra followers. This actually has a point. So on IG, Instagram, you’re going to follow Corinne, C-O-R-I-N-N-E _crabtree. And then on Facebook, it’s going to be facebook.com/losing100podcast. And then Kathy’s Instagram is coach_KathyHartman, H-A-R-T-M-A-N, and Kathy with a K. So you’re going to want to follow us mainly my accounts because on my accounts, I’m not only sharing nuggets from the podcast, but almost every single day. It’s rare that I miss a day. I am posting something inspirational, motivational, given it’s like a little bitty micro lesson in weight loss. And too many of our social feeds don’t have enough of that in there. Your social feeds are ate up with all kinds of bullshit or comparing yourself to other people. I like to think of every one of my posts to be a little lesson in mindset each time. I’m always trying to move the needle in your mindset or sharing something personal that I think could help you feel normal, not broken and like there’s hope, so I would follow the accounts.

Corinne:

And the other thing is when you read something on the accounts, if it’s meaningful to you, respond, leave a comment, talk about why it’s meaningful and stuff. That solidifies that within you or tag someone that needs that help. Start building your own little community. It’s nice when you start tagging some of your friends, all of you are following the same people, then you’re all reading the same things and you have something positive that you all can be talking about.

Corinne:

And you get a little personal glimpse. Like Kathy shares a lot of her personal life. You can see the grand babies and what they’re up to. When she goes on vacation, she shares a lot of posts about taking time off herself. I just share a lot of motivational stuff. Sometimes I’m sharing pictures of my real body because I don’t want you always seeing me dressed up. I want seeing me like fresh off a workout. I want you to see my scars. I want you to see the loose skin. This body is not perfect by any means. I can dress it up and it look pretty great, but that’s not what’s underneath. And you need to see more of that because I feel like one of the few women out there who makes peace with their body and who actually enjoys herself. I didn’t lose all this weight to not enjoy myself. I didn’t lose all my weight to sit around for the next 20 years hating that I got loose skin. That sucks.

Corinne:

So you want to make sure you’re following people who have figured out not only how to lose their weight, but also how to love a real woman’s body, a normal looking body. And then the last thing is step four, which is once you’ve taken the free course, you will get the Monday motivation emails, which are on Fridays, I’m going to be sending you, this is our podcast, the main points, so that you’re never forgetting to listen. So it’s like my gentle reminder of bitch, listen. Don’t begetting.

Kathy Hartman:

Your gentle reminder?

Corinne:

My gentle reminder. That’s my gentle version.

Kathy Hartman:

There you go podcast listeners.

Corinne:

That’s right. I didn’t even break a sweat. That’s why it was so gentle. The money motivation is me dropping some wisdom. And a lot of times what I’ll do is also give you a podcast about it. So I’ll talk about an insight that I have about something and then we’ve probably already recorded a podcast, so we’ll give you a new podcast you can listen to, but just make sure that you’re reading my emails. I try to always send valuable emails. I try to always send you something that you’re going to want to read, that’s going to give you a resource. I try to use those emails as a gift to the people who are on my list to just say like, here’s some positivity, here’s something to listen to, here’s something that’s helpful, here’s why it’s helpful. So make sure you’re watching for Mondays and Fridays.

Corinne:

Move us to your safe sender lists. We end up in a button of spam folders, promotional folders, spam, all the folders just junk. So when you sign up, if you’re not getting emails from me, then check everywhere inside of all your folders and see if you’re getting anything from Corrine Crabtree, anything from support@PMPtribe.com, and then just move us and mark us as a safe sender. And also, we have a little bonus for you which is some of our favorite podcasts for you to listen to that tackle some important things. The first one is we have a four basics review for you all which is called basics review plus mistakes. It’s episode number 235 titled, basic mistakes. If you go to that one, you’ll hear… So once you’ve taken the free course and you understand what the basics are, this is a podcast we did on some of the common mistakes people make when they first start using them, so that should be helpful.

Corinne:

We also have a really good episode on doable planning, which you will learn inside of the free course. It’s episode number 216 and it’s called meal planning for weight loss. It’s going to uncover and address several things that will help make the meal planning a little easier and simpler for you. And then we also have a podcast number 204. It’s an overeating podcast because the majority of the people are here because you’re overeating and you have various forms of overeating. Well, inside the free course, I’ll teach you about the concept of stopping at enough. And that podcast is called Stop Eating When You’ve Had Enough. So we give you tips and tricks on how to make that happen.

Corinne:

And then the last one is… I know a lot of you are going to take the free course when you hear this because you’re like, oh, Corinne, I just been hanging out in your podcast and I haven’t even taken the free course. No wonder I’m fucking lost sometimes. And I sure do wish I had a 24 hour meal plan template and things like that. Then you’re going to want to join because I’m going to tell you being a No BS woman is unlike any other thing you’ve ever done for weight loss. It’s a family, it is true support. It’s not like joining a fucking [inaudible 00:32:25] and Weight Watchers where they say you’re going to get a coach and you either get somebody that’s never had to lose weight, or you get somebody that’s been given a script who sits on the other side of a chat box and just sends you pre-scripted stuff. You get real women talking to you. All of my coaches are real women who’ve lost weight. All of my coaches are giving you their real thoughts, real help.

Corinne:

So I don’t want you to be sitting around thinking that you’re going to join and it’s going to be like one of those big weight loss companies. We ain’t that fucking big. How big is Weight Watchers? Well, they got like…

Kathy Hartman:

Oh my gosh, they must have hundreds of thousands of people.

Corinne:

I think they have over a million users or something like that.

Kathy Hartman:

Wow.

Corinne:

I’m almost sure. I looked it up one day trying to figure out how many people’s up there in Oprah’s program.

Kathy Hartman:

It wouldn’t surprise me.

Corinne:

Well, let me say this. Here’s one thing that makes us different than Weight Watchers. I’m in our Facebook group on the regular leaving comments. You all let me know the next time Oprah hits up their message boards and leaves you all some part like, here’s my advice.

Kathy Hartman:

[crosstalk 00:33:38] into meeting?

Corinne:

Yeah. Shit. This morning, I was slamming my table doing my hour long call with the members and saying, here’s the things we’re doing. Yeah, whatever. So some of you all going to want to join and if you do, but you are concerned that your family is not going to necessarily offer immediate support or understand what you’re doing or whatever, we have a podcast for you. It’s called episode number 232. It’s called Ways to Get Your Family Support For Weight Loss. So you can take a listen to that one. And even if you’re not joining us, you may just be wanting to go on your No BS journey through the free resources, but you still would appreciate your family being on board or at least you not letting them get in your way. This podcast episode will help with all of that whether you join us or not. So anything else you want to add, Kathy?

Kathy Hartman:

Yeah. When I was helping pull the information together for your outline today, that was my bonus for everyone, ways to get your family support, because that was my hangup. I’m always on my social or here in the podcast talking about my journey from losing the 80 pounds that I lost into coaching and changing careers and all that kind of stuff because, I don’t know, I feel like I’m pretty relatable. And this particular issue for me, not that my family didn’t support me, it was me not wanting them to be put out because I wanted to lose weight. It was me untangling all the thoughts about getting in my own way using them as an excuse basically. So when I was thinking about what could we share, what podcasts would be the best ones to share, this one really stood out for me because I think it’s an issue for a lot of women, not wanting to impose on their family members or their friends, their change in their eating behaviors and stuff. So that’s why it’s there.

Corinne:

We’re socialized so hard as women to put others first. Mothers are always taught… We’re always told your kids are the most important thing in the world, and it’s not that our kids aren’t important, but why can’t we just be told you’re just as important as your children. Don’t we wish that somebody would’ve told us stuff like that and what a difference our lives would’ve had if we had have heard messaging that we are just as important. We can make space for all of it. We’re always taught you last honey, everybody else first, and then whatever’s left over good luck. So that’s a good one. All right, everybody. I hope that’s helpful. No matter what, get out there today, make some good decisions for yourself. Ask are am I hungry? Have I had enough? And just lose some of this weight, the easy way. We will talk to you soon.

Corinne:
