Last week I told you how important it is for me to have a morning routine.
Well, I have an evening one too that, if you adopt, will help you lose weight.
So many women can lose weight simply by going to freaking bed.
One, if you are in bed prioritizing sleep as a way to have ME TIME you won’t be on the couch grubbing chips in front of the TV declaring that as ME TIME.
Girl, that’s bullshit and you know it.
When you are overeating you are DISCONNECTING from you. TRUE me time means you are connecting to your dreams, your goals, and doing things that you wake up grateful you did.
Two, when you sleep, fat is burning. That’s when the body does the “magic.” Sleep deprived people lose less weight simply because they cheat their body of time spent working on fat burning. While you sleep your body doesn’t have food to rely on to do the work. It relies on your fat storage. So go to bed.
Three, when you get less than 7 hours of sleep each night your body will be under fueled and will not want to rely on fat. It will spike cravings for food and carbs to give you quick hits of energy.

My routine is super simple.
Before I end my work day, I review what I got done and quickly recap my day in my planner.
I’m upstairs and in my bed, face clean, and Sleep Remedy taken by 8pm.
I watch a little TV and the phone is put away.
You can catch me watching HGTV, Project Runway, or any Showtime/HBO series. Sometimes Chris is with me but often I’m just chilling.
He stays up later than me and sleeps later… I love that. He gets his time and I get mine. We know we love each other. We don’t have to be up each others’ asses to prove it.
Logan comes in and we chat a little. Sometimes he makes fun of momma because “the sun is still out” when I got sleepy face on.
By 9pm I’m out. If I’m out by 8:30pm I call that WINNING.
That’s all I do.
It doesn’t have to take a lot of time or be super complicated. It just needs to work, and it does.
