I start my day with my journal. I write out my food plan for the day, write about what’s on my mind, review whatever exercise I am doing for the day and re-write my goals.
Each day I re-write my goals and timelines. Then I spend time writing down the things I will do that day to get me a step closer. No matter how small that step is.
My thoughts and goals are always the first things I spend time thinking of each day.
Why? I don’t want my brain to forget for a SECOND what’s important. And, don’t want my brain to have useless drama telling me I’m not good enough, never going to be happy, and the other silly things it thinks.
My business goals, weight goals (yes, I still make sure that sweet ass 100lbs I lost is in focus), and family goals get a few minutes of reflection daily.
Putting my pen to paper, working on myself, and my goals first thing prepares me for the day ahead.
I get up at 4:45am or earlier DAILY. It’s become a habit.
Most days it’s painful to get up. My lazy part of the brain never wants to.
But, the part of my brain that drives me to action says, “Just get the coffee and notebook. That’s all we have to do.”
It’s enough to get me moving when I don’t WANT to.
When I am done taking care of my brain I take care of my body. I workout.
I couldn’t keep 100lbs off and help women like you every day without this routine. Being able to be with my thoughts and feelings, crafting how I will accomplish the important things each day is how I am achieving my dreams.
My morning routine has no rules. It’s mine. You can make your routine. I encourage you to do this. Sleeping in is great, but often we are 45 min. of sleep away from achieving things we never dreamed possible. A little planning and focus makes all the difference in the world.
